Getting Started

When starting TermWebIntegrator the first time the Connection Settings dialog will be displayed.

Enter the URL for the API of your TermWeb server. The default location for the API is http://servername/termweb/api. If TermWeb is configured with a secure connection, replace http: with https: in the URL. Specify the client, user name and password you wish to use to access TermWeb from TermWebIntegrator. Select your version of SDL MultiTerm. For connecting to a MultiTerm Server you also need to specify the location of the MultiTerm Server, together with user and password. The protocol used for connecting to MultiTerm Server depends on the location of the server. Select LAN if the server is located in your local network and WAN if you are accessing it over Internet or through firewalls.

Technical note: LAN type uses DCOM for communication which by default uses UDP on ports 1024-65535. WAN type uses SOAP which uses TCP on port 80.

Test your specified connection configuration by clicking “Test Connections”. Both TermWeb and MultiTerm connections must be working before the connection configuration can be saved.
